Handlebars Purion

I’m about ready to purchase an ebike that comes equipped with Bosch Purion Performance computer. I’d like to possibly change the handlebar to a Jones H bar that I have sitting around. They are both 31.8 stems. Is this something I can do myself or are there special tools needed for the Purion? I’ve changed handlebars on other bikes no problem. Thanks

I don't have any personal experience with the Bosch Purion Computer but I changed handlebars on my Pedego Interceptor with no problem. It's display was clamped to the bar and was easily removed with a Torx screwdriver. From the picture in the Bosch Purion owners manual, it appears to have a similar clamp. You should be able to swap it using ordinary tools.

This is just my opinion though. If you look at this thread:

xMarcus mentions the Bosch Purion display is not removable. You might check with him on the subject.
