I have used the 6 inch and now 3 inch rise handlebars and wanted to show it on the RCS. Protapper sells a 3 inch riser bar many use on the Sur on. Also Luna sells a there own riser bar which also works at half the price.
Looking at doing the lower bars and replacing the forks as well as maybe going 2.8 or 3" 27.5" rims ( I can do my own spoke and true work). I have a few questions. How are the lower bars? Do they offer more control or was it to offset the added hieght of the longer fork? What fork did you use? Anyhow I do like the look!
The day I changed the 6" bars to the 3" was a great day. I found better steering control. Way back in 2019 Juiced shipped the RCS with flat MTB bars and 80mm stems. The steering control was pretty bad. I also found the stock stem to be weak and it allowed the handlebars to move under extreme conditions. I switched out the stem for Hussefelt Stem, 40mm off Amazon. The 34mm fat tire forks - BOLANY MTB Front Fork 26 Inch are 120mm travel and offer bigger stanchion over the stock 80mm with 32mm stanchions travel forks did. I finally converted the wheels to tubeless and have been very happy with the results. Check out my other posts I have been tweaking the bikes since I got them 2 years ago.
