Handlebar conversion

I have an Ecotric Pro 900 fat tire folder. I would like to change my my mtn type bars with a cruiser handlebar. Has anyone done this? How did the bike handle?

It's a good idea. Bike should handle better. Anytime you replace a floppy hinged steerer with a more solid piece, it's got to be better. I'm referring to taking out everything and putting on a a non-folding stem. You might not need a cross bar, but whatever you get needs to be long enough to fit brakes, throttle, shifter. You probably don't need a stem extender, I just show one in the picture.

I've not done it only because my Ecotric isn't my main ride. I've never folded that bike. I have only carried it on a platform rack, so losing the folding steerer is no hardship.
