Handle bar lever position

Hi Folks

I have a goofy question that i cant see online or in the assembly manual. I just want to make sure that I have assembled everything correctly. When i placed the handlbar stem into the shaft it appears that the safety clasp lever is locked at 10.5 o'clock when sitting on the bike.Is this the correct set up? How can I be sure it is locked in the correct place? I Any chance someone could show me a front view photo looking at the bike and side view of the bike where the safety clasp should be.

Thank you so much.

I just came across a youtube page that I could view better and i think how I have it set up is fine. Reassurance from all of you is helpful though. Thanks in advance.

Although I changed my handlebars on my XP, the stem remains the same. Here are some pics of what you requested hopefully....

I think the most important thing is that the lever when closed points to the the rear of the bike. That way if you brush up against something it won’t inadvertently unlatch the locking lever.

Heres a photo of how my handle bar stem and wheel stem lever looks ...is this right? Just want to make sure before I take it out . Thank you
