Google "Yamaha X94 Manual" and download it for future reference. It will have all pertinent info on the complete drive system.

Attached is the Yamaha PW service manual. On page 2-39 it says in reference to Er 15, "Replace the display unit assembly." Since you've already done that, perhaps it is incorrectly installed. Have you tried contacting your dealer or the Haibike distributor?
Thanks. That is a different manual to the I received?? This has more detail but still says same about error 15 hence why I changed display.
it’s looking like the display I have got new is for 2015 models only and that is the issue?
I am getting a refund and sourcing a compatible spare. Unfortunately when purchased it did not state 2015 models only!!

Within the PW, the year of manufacture is the one that determines the type of control even if it is similar or aesthetically equal, if you need a control or a screen you must know if it is 2015 or 2016 + because even being the same they do not work, there are 2 specific versions for the 2015 and for 2016 + controls and screen.

At some point I had a 2016 PW bike and a 2017 - the displays were interchangeable for them. Never had a 2015
I have now sorted this issue. Basically if it’s not a 2015 model bike then the 2015 display is no good. The 2016 fixed it.
