Greetings from a Noob in Grass Valley CA

I ride Empire Mines on my FS Levo. There are some great trails and fire roads. One of the trails, the Osbourne Hill Loop, has some pretty steep rock gardens that can be intimidating. About 2/3 of them have dirt trails that bypass the rocks but the other 1/3 you have to bomb down them or dismount and walk it. There are trails on both sides of the Colfax Hwy. It's a popular place for hikers and horse riders, so I always try to ride at the crack of dawn to avoid the crowds, as it does get too crowded for riding. Some great gold mining history there with an open yard display of machinery, a museum, and old shut off mines scattered around the trails.

Good to know. Thanks!

I'm not yet up for any "bombing" :)

I like your bike! I almost went for the Levo, it was between the Tero X and the Levo. I went with the Tero because I will mostly be riding in the neighborhood for exercise and the Tero seemed like a better fit for me for that.

Sounds like the right choice. There are some nicely groomed trails and decent fire roads at Empire Mines and you'd probably find them quite enjoyable on your Tero X. No bombing required!

Sweet! I’ll definitely check them out. Thanks!

Wrap around safety glasses work for me. They’re cheap, but stylish and very effective.
Within a month of getting my new Canyon e-bike I’ve done a lot of things to the bike, from completely removing the heavy fenders to swapping to a smaller chainring and narrower cassette. And installed my trusted old saddle and pedals. Plus, a bunch of other small things to customize the bike to fit my riding style.

Me happily riding in a freezing rain, 0 C (32 F) today :) Note the excellent Helly Hansen sailing jacket totally wet outside, dry inside; the winter helmet and goggles.

wonder why you never went to see Kyle Chittuck at area 13 bikes in Grass valley.CA
,He is a dealer and could probably help you out/
