❤️ Great community! Which bike would you choose?

First just want to say thanks for the great site to discuss e-bikes! I appreciate any help you can give.

I’m about to be a first time e-bike purchaser.

I’m going to use it for recreation, fun, gravel roads, trails, and just to get outside.

I’m 6’ and 195 pounds.

My budget is up to $4K, I just want a low maintenance but powerful bike.

I’ve narrowed it down to:

Rad Power
Rize
Biktrix
Dose

I’m Canadian so a little biased.

My first question is always the same. Who is going to get their hands dirty when this new bike needs assembly or service work?

If you are planning on having this work done for you, you should know that MANY bike shops will not work on bikes they didn't sell. This would limit your new bike choices to what's available from shops within reasonable driving distance.

If you are willing and able to do your own work, even if you might have some questions on how to proceed (available here), you would have a much wider selection of bikes!
