It's probably too expensive now for the consumer market, but batteries will eventually become regulated for safety and sustainabilty. Then this will be the future. I think most of us would pay more for a battery that can always be repaired/upgraded,

Most batteries are repairable now. The problem is must home consumers don't have the know how or tools to do it. I don't see this design doing much for that.
Totally proprietary and locked down. Now if it was open source that would be a step forward.
This is just a battery company locking you into their ecosystem with some buzz words.
