Google, My Tracks app

It's one of the many apps that let's you track your route, on a bicycle ride. It's a free download for Android phones my son told me about, that uses Google maps. I wonder how it compares to other programs like it?

So far I haven't used it, but my son gave me a demo. I looks similar to other programs I've seem posted on face book where bicyclers post their route to show how far they rode. Usually about 10 miles. I've been wanting to post one of my 40 mile rides.

When I had an Android phone I used it a lot and liked it.

It's fine. I've tried a bunch of cycling apps on my Samsung Note 3 and I like MapMyRide the best of the ones I've tried.

I tried it out for the first time this evening on a short 5 mile ride. I like how simple and easy it is to use. Having a pause button is nice. Now I think I'm ready to try it out on a long ride.
