I flew from Anchorage AK to Northeast PA yesterday, a 4 time zone jump. It's 8 AM local time but my body still thinks it's 4 AM. Tried to get some sleep on the plane but had little success. Supposed to meet for a group ride this morning, but I'm not sure I'll make it.

Ohh c'mon now. That's like getting up early one morning.
A euro trip is a little more challenging but one down_undà is like a trip to the twilight zone.

I was in the Yukon the third week of June and it made me sick. The sun never set. And mosquitos. Plus being so close to the magnetic north where north was straight down. I had to get back to the 38th parallel.

It wouldn't be so bad if all four in our party didn't get Covid. No real surprise though with 8 buses, 6 planes, one train and a boat involved with the tour we were on.

I finally got it last summer from a home health aide that was helping with mom... go figure right.
But in all honesty her symptoms were very mild and she found out from us. Mom's and mine weren't too bad either... but I got a bit of long covid and would get random bouts of extreme fatigue for a few months afterwards.

Luckily, we all had our vaccinations, so none of us are seriously ill. More of an annoyance really. More concerned about giving it to someone else at this point. Another reason why I skipped the ride this morning.

That's good... We were all vaccinated up as well. Mom @97 handled better than I symptom wise.
Mom got another vaccination since but when I went for my annual they didn't have them and I didn't follow up elsewhere.
