Good Entry Level ebike Kit for India

Namaste. I live in India & am really interested in ebikes. I am looking for an entry level conversion kit, that helps me commute around the city easily.
As per the law here, the kit has to be
• 250 watt (nominal power)
• max. speed from motor 25kmph

I like to keep things simple & hence am inclined towards a rear / front hub motor.
I don't want to spend too much & am looking between smart pie and 8fun / bafang hub motor.
There is another entry level kit with good reviews (Leeds 250 watt) but I don't think they will ship it to India. The Chinese on the other hand can ship it for pretty small sum.

Both of these are around $300 kits & are highly praised on the web. Please help me in deciding on one of these. Is there any other good option that I am missing.
Thanks a lot.

Both Smart Pie and Bafang are very solid choices for the $. Won't go wrong with either.
Falco is of course from India, but quite a bit more expensive (and advanced).

Thanks for confirming that MLB.
Have you had any experience with the slightly cheaper ones - Mxus ($70 motor) & Q85 / Q100. Though their fan following is small, I have not read one single complaint about these. All q100 owners claim easy 20mph without pedalling. Are these motors reliable enough?

Hi Ravi. Am a fan of yours. Had been following your world record attempt ride. Congrats on that. However I couldn't gather info on where & when did you end it.
About Volta Zap, i did look into this, but going by the kind of info available, i'd say they would take at least 6 more months to get on the road. And when it does come out, it seems it would be an expensive one (Spero's, the crowdfunded bike, is priced at 55k to 85k. that's too much for a 25kmph bike)

Having talked to a Q100 owner, I am now interested in this one too. Of the Q100 & Bafang hub motors, which one would you suggest. Are Bafang / 8fun hub motors also geared (couldn't find accurate info on this) :)
