Gentlemen, how do I remove the chainring ?

Looks like you need external circlip pliers to remove the circlip... You can buy them cheaply online. The chainring should then pull off.

A small screwdriver can be used to pry out and up on the circlip. Then work it around and off the toothed shaft.

Circlip pliers are the best, but if you don’t have any…

Definitely doable... but if done this way hold a rag over the opposite side of the clip as you work it off as they can take off on you.
