It is pretty awesome :) A couple of weeks ago I actually compared the Teo forum to the Yukon and noticed we had caught up reaaaally fast! I said it before, we're a great bunch and are learning, sharing a lot while having fun. Can't spend much time myself outside of this great circle :D

It is a great sharing group we have.

Lots of Canadians, but we're growing South of the border.

Good job @america94, you started it all.

So I live in N Calif and suddenly have changed my mind towards a Teo fat bike. How do these bikes pedal without power? Easy? Or not so much? Where am I going to get the specs and price? Are these ordered by phone talking to Benoit? (Ben wah?). Are they generally available or is one guy building these to individual customers? Do they compare to Radrover in any way? What is so good about them really? I read they are worth every cent? Very curious and very much a potential buyer if you can help me decide why!! This many Canuks can't be too far wrong I suspect.

I can't speak about the Radrover because I don't own one, but with the tires inflated to 25 lbs, I find it not too bad at all pedaling without power. I mean it is a 62 pound bike, but even on the Kendas doesn't roll too bad. I'd be willing to pedal it home 5 miles in the lower gears if I had to or even turn the power off on a very gradual slope. It wouldn't be that big of deal as it rolls surprisingly nice.

Stephane, better known as America94, was one of the first owners of a Teo, and being impressed with the quality, has put a ton of work into telling people about them and has done some videos on unpacking and assembly (which is dead simple by the way). Because of his hard work, I ordered mine by clicking on America94's link so he gets a small commission for helping promote the Teos and being generally helpful to all of us. The link takes me to the Teo Fat Bike website and I ordered mine there. I'm totally happy with mine. :)

@Baron totally agree with @Jazzcat statement, I am one of the most sceptical people in this world when it comes to believing or being convinced by opinion of total strangers however you got to start somewhere. I took my sweet time to decide, about 3 months before finally pulling the trigger and the only thing I regret is that I did not do it sooner.
There are many others bikes that I could have purchased, however Téo has the most up to date components of them all. Just the price of the 17 amp battery vs 10.4 amp and hydrolic brakes makes it worth purchasing over competition. To myself it all made sense, also the support of the community and the @Teo fat bike ovner Benoit taking the time and effort to answering all the questions I had and that was before my purchase as well as @america94 doing such a beautiful job his review and helping everyone out with their questions, I tell you this man is a fountain of knowledge.
You can read more here.
Good luck with your purchase whatever you decide on.

Hi @Baron. Hope this helps with some of your questions. I'm sure some of the other fine gents on here will chime in with their opinions to help as well. Some really great guys on here:cool:

How do these bikes pedal without power? Easy? Or not so much? I would say kind of in between. Tire pressure is a big factor with this bike. It's not just a little bit heavy, it is heavy...plain and simple. At 8 psi I had a hard time peddling with no assist. At 25 psi I find I ride about 70% of the time at 0PAS. That's on the stock Kenda's which I am actually really enjoying. More on that later.... On a flat road at 25psi I easily maintain a decent speed at 0PAS
Where am I going to get the specs and price? You can find that information here.
Are these ordered by phone talking to Benoit? (Ben wah?). Maybe you can? The website has a very easy checkout procedure for purchasing the bike of your choice.
Are they generally available or is one guy building these to individual customers? They are not made specific to individual riders from what I know. Teo has 7 or 8 models of bikes to choose from. Pay close attention to frame size. There's been a lot of discussion about that on this forum.
Do they compare to Radrover in any way? There has been discussion about this here.
What is so good about them really? Price and components. They are very similar to some other brands out there, but the Teo has some upgraded components that set it apart. Battery capacity being a main one. More on that here.
I read they are worth every cent? This many Canucks can't be too far wrong I suspect We don't make much cents here in Canada anymore. But they're worth every nickel imo.:D

My wife and I are very much enjoying our new Teo's. We look forward to riding whenever we have the time. So far the bikes have given us no problems and much enjoyment. Benoit's a busy man and can be a little hard to get a hold of sometimes so be patient.:)

@Falken, you beat me to the punch! :p I too was answering point by point - I think you should post an affiliate link now :D:D I did not know you tried zero PAS at 8PSI... it's not easy, right? at first I thought "man oh man am I out of shape! can't even pedal a bike anymore"!!:rolleyes:
Lol, no way my friend. I don't mind helping when I can however we all know where all the credit goes when it comes to promoting the Teo bikes! Yes 8 psi was, well what can I say.....scary?!? Super hard to peddle, bike self steers where it wants (at least on pavement) It was quite the experience lol!
