Can't decide! Nevo or Homage...

I bought a brand new 2021 BES2 bike this year, and have no qualms about Bosch support or parts availability for major stuff. Bosch did drop the software add-ons before I was able to purchase them for the bike, but it's nothing I can't live without. I didn't pay anywhere near $7K, even after all the upgrades that I did. I thought that this being my first e-bike, I wanted to dip my toe in the water first. I can upgrade to a bike that better fits my needs later.

IMO, the big difference between BES2 Gen4 and the equivalent Smart System motor is that the the Smart System allows the user to do firmware upgrades and customize ride modes through the app. Some of this functionality was available for BES2 but it is now extremely limited.

I understand. Maybe I should go for the BES2 then, and its like you or someone else said here in the comments, the bike will still work also after 2032 (7y from now) even if the support might stop. I dont think there will be a problem getting spare parts after 2032 either.

Plus, there are very few Bosch bikes factory equipped with dual batteries. If speed, lots of assist and range are your priorities, I'd go for that one with the dual PowerTube 625's. It will be heavy, and ride like a truck, but I bet you could get 80+ miles on Turbo.
