Seems like a good fit for a road bike - but man, for the beefier version 600w of power into such a tiny contact patch seems to me like that could create issues that aren't immediately quantifiable to my morning brain :)

What I do really like: 2nd mounting kit for $160 bucks.

Friction wheels have been around and used mostly unsucessfuly for a long time

Constant speed can have a big effect on wheels, I don't want something going that fast rubbing on my thin bicycle tires and stressing the rim and spokes. Wonder if these people have product liability insurance when long, thin road bike spokes blow out?
 
The best friction ebike I have seen was ridden by Robert Redford in a film "Three Days of the Condor" as it was a high-tech bike an intellectual CIA book reader would use.
