Hi there,

I have a 2022 Vado 5.0 (not SL, see picture)

and would like to install a frame lock (café style) something like the lock in the picture below.

Any suggestions of a model frame lock that will fit in this bike?
Thanks!

I thought I read somewhere the 5750L NR which was 78mm opening would also work? I've got one on order and will attempt to follow up when it does arrive. I tried to order the model that Guru posted, but I couldn't find it easily....I was too lazy to email abus however.

Any preference for one model of lock over another? (If so why?)

I can see there is a hole for a chain to be added. Do you know if any ABUS chain work? Or do I have to order a specific one?

Thanks!
I chose the 5755L because it is smaller than the 4750X - see the technical drawings on the Abus website(s) - and that the 5755L uses the higher tier Xplus cylinder / key while I believe the 4750X is just the Plus cylinder.

AFAIK the chains are cross compatible.

Super! Those were the thoughts I had when looking at the photos and the specs of the locks.
Thanks so much!

I got the Abus 5750 - Large.

It fits and works well on my 2022 Turbo Vado 4.0

I chose it as, based on reviews at the time, it's was the one that I was most confident would fit/work

@GuruUno
Thanks for responding!
Is yours a 5755L or the different 4750X? I think I saw a post from you indicating the latter.
The 5755L looks a bit less clunky than the 4750X but not sure I want to bother with removing the wheel to install it, if tha5 is needed.
If yours is the 4750X, does it rattle when riding? That would drive me bonkers, I think! Trying to iron out these details because these locks can’t be returned for free…

Do the 5750L / 5755L require removal of the rear wheel or fender to install the lock?
5755L needed the wheel removed but not the fender since it’s a little smaller.

wheel removal is easy to do, and you ought to practice at home anyway before you find you need to fix a flat away from home.
