Fork Mounts

I need a couple of fork mounts for my CREO SL Expert EVO. 12 x 110MM. Will any mount of this size work ok? Do I need to be aware of any issues when getting these for the carbon fork and making sure they do not damage anything? Can anyone recommend any that they know work?

Thanks

It sounds like you pulled the trigger on 2 of these bikes. Congrats! By fork mount, do you mean the thing that is used to secure the bike while transporting in the bed of a truck? I looked for one that fit the front fork of my Creo CC EVO (same dimensions as your Experts) and could not find one that is works with a 12 X 110 mm hub. My plan B was to use INNO RT 201 truck sidewall mounts which clamp on the fork and down tube. For added support I run a ratchet strap between the truck tiedowns and over the top tube. I like this system because the wheels stay on so you are ready to hit the road once you reach your destination. The INNO mounts cost about $80 per pair.

Yup, pulled the trigger on two of these puppies, looking forward to owning and riding our first e-bikes. I need the more conventional type mount that screws down onto something. The bikes get mounted inside a Honda CRV that we tow behind our motorhome. My current set up allows us to take two road or two mountain bikes. I mounted the mounts to a length of 2 X 4 and use velcro to attach the board to the floor in the storage area of the CRV. Take off the front wheel, put the bikes in rear wheel first, skewer the bikes in and they are stead as a rock. When we aren't using the bikes I just pull out the 2 X 4. Works great. As you discovered there are no 12 X 110MM thru axel mounts out there yet but I need to do something.
There are few youtubes that show how to build one so I am going in that direction. Bought 10 feet of PVC pipe and some clamps. The inside diameter of the PVC is 1/2" and 12MM equals out to 0.472 inches so I am hoping the axel will fit through and not be too loose or tight and the whole thing will work. The bikes don't get too much jarring around but if they are too loose I might try to put something inside the pipe. I was thinking maybe a length of shrink wrap to close it up a bit. If it is too tight I will need to rethink the entire projct. Anyway, fun stuff to try and cheap enough.

This is the video I am sort of following. watch

Total cost for all material was $4.16. Cheap fix if it works. I won't be able to try it until I get the bikes so a couple of weeks. Not even going to try until I see how the axel fits in the pipe. Felt PCV would do less damage than steel pipe

I think that will work but it will be best if you can anchor the mounts securely so the fork doesn’t wobble. You probably have that covered by anchoring to your 2x4s. With a 10’ stick of pvc, you’ll have plenty if you make any mistakes 😎Thanks for sharing.
