Flat Dohikers.

Hi. I Iive in France and we've got a motorhome.
We bought a couple of Gohikers last Sept.
We rode them once and they were fine.
Due to circumstances we've had to leave them in the garage until this week.
They appeared flat so plugged them in and left them to charge for more than 24hrs. Still flat!
Surely it's not buying a new battery already?

Help, please!

Welcome to the site.
Apparently dohiker is a bicycle with 12" wheels. bing found a picture but not the vendor.
When I clicked dohiker.com I got a supplier of backpacks. So I have no idea what technology your batteries are.
If the batteries were LiIon, and it got below freezing last winter, that ruins LiIon batteries. LiIon batteries are supposed to be stored at 60% charge, also. Read about them on maintenance forum. I took my battery off the bike last winter and stored it under a heat pad on a chair in the garage. Be warned, liIon batteries can burn down a garage the same way they burned down 2 Tesla cars and a Boeing airplane. there are parts of France that freeze like Lilse; there are parts that don't like CapdeFerrar.
Other technologies, I have no data. Lead acid can take a freeze, but if you let them sit at low charge they sulphate and become useless. In fact if you let lead acid sit at full charge, or charge them once a week without 60% discharging them, they become useless also. Also lead acid left on a charger all the time becomes useless, also. I've quit buying lead acid batteries; since they took the antimony out they are useless for people that don't start and drive a car 5 times a week. I'm going to convert my tractor that I don't drive all winter to pneumatic starter.

Thanks Indianajo. Looks as though I'm learning the hard way. I'll need to dig a bit deeper and get some new batteries. It's a dear way to learn though!
