Firmware updates..............again!

Well, I never bothered with the vile journey to get the possibly pointless update, but.............I find myself at the foot of Alpe d'Huez for a couple of weeks, great rides on the fantastic bike, wander into my favourite LBS in Bourg d'Oisans and casually mention the firmware update, they take it in immediately, ready later this evening. Service! I'm finding the transitions on complex steep climbs, changing gear, changing from eco to turbo, this all seems a lot smoother now. Or have they hypnotized me?

Typically, firmware updates come with small explanation. Do you know if the updates were directed at something to do with shifting? Did you ask the LBS about what the updates were for?

Yeh, like I said before, MC said it was a 'display update', the bike shop guy spoke better english than I do french, and I understood him up to 'it's a display' update, but he seemed to be saying something about the message being sent by the display unit was more accurate. Either way, it does seem to be dealing with the power transitions a bit more smoothly, or so I think. This is a stunning bike either way; I'm doing familiar challenging rides around here at the same speed, and less effort than I was doing on a muscle bike 10 or more years ago.

I had an e-mail from Specialized on Feb. 16th, urging me to get the latest firmware update with the charge limit feature. Please note my, and others previous comments about updates on this thread.
I'm just curious however to find out if anyone knows why, when I log in to mission control and look at the 'device updates' page, the current & latest columns for the battery, motor, & display are just showing a dash. Previously, I was able to see the versions listed, and also the update I had done in Bourg d'Oisans last September. I'm not a commuter, and my style of riding doesn't encourage me to think that the 'charge limit feature' , which is user selectable, would be of interest. I am a bit of a tech nerd (or 'anorak' as we're called in the UK), and am just curious as to why this display has changed.
Meanwhile, I did a hugely enjoyable ride on this bike the other day, on a route I last did 7 years ago on my carbon fibre Di2 equipped 8Kg racing bike. I was 30 seconds faster! The e-bike is the elixir of youth!

Hah! After a couple of weeks of the display issue described in my previous post, I've just checked again and got the page attached here! It's mysteriously re-populated the device updates page. o_O
