Evelo Delta X vs. Trek Alliant+ 7S

Some things to consider but no easy answers.
Trek has many local dealers so you can try them out and get service easily.
Evelo bikes have throttles and Treks do not if that is something you want/need.
Evelo has Nuvinci® N380 Continuous Variable Transmission with Gates belt drive which you may want to read more about to see advantages and disadvantages.
That Trek model is at least 10 lbs lighter than the Evelo.

My point was that the Evelo video says they will work with your LBS (if necessary) to service your bike. I’m suggesting you ask a local shop if they would indeed do that. Some won’t.

IMO you would be better off with the trek.
Thanks, everyone! My only worry is having to go out of pocket after two years if anything goes wrong on my $5500 + tax bike.
I do have a local Trek dealer who is hard selling me on the Trek although he works on my RadRover even though he thinks its crap.
I will send him an email asking about the Evelo. He is a Trek dealer and will want to sell the Alliant+.
I rented a Trek bike and liked it, but I really like the throttle on my RadRover for starting off.
The price differential between my next bike and my RadRover is 3x. I am tried of taking the Rover to the mechanic, however, although I love riding it when it works, which it currently is not (awaiting a new controller because the power keeps going out after 1 min or so).
I want an upgrade that is reliable, fun, durable and will last.
I looked at the Dost Koop also, but I don't want to wait until next year to get it.

The key to a pleasant riding experience on a Bosch Gen 2 or Gen 4 motor system is being in the right gear.
If you shift down properly, it will accelerate pretty quickly. Much faster than a high-powered system because the assistance kicks in very quickly. This video explains it nicely. Note this motor was an 8yr old system and the newer Gen 4 systems are leagues ahead
