Electra (owned by Trek) just released an updated version to the Townie Go!, their classic cruiser e-bike. This is the first e-bike from Electra to include a throttle, and also includes some really cool battery and charging technology that we hope gets adopted across the industry.
We also really like the price of the bike ($1,999 as of posting date), which shows that Trek/Electra recognize the competition they are getting from brands like Aventon and Velotric - and are wanting to have a less expensive offering for riders that is still well-built and looks great.
You can read our full review of the bike here: Electra Townie Go! Review, and watch our YouTube video review below:
*Note: they do offer 2 different versions, an 'S' version that is Class 3, and a Class 2 version that is legal in the state of California and other areas where Class 3 e-bikes are restricted.
Again, as we start to share our "official reviews" of bikes here in the forum, let us know what questions you have!
