Ecotric 20 folding new handlebars

My wife and I have the 20 folding bikes and she has to reach and lean forward to grip the handlebars. I want to swap in a set of bars that are swept back so she doesn't need to lean forward. Any reason I would not be able to simply transfer all the stuff on the original bars - brakes, throttle, etc., to a different set of bars?

As long as your knees don't hit the bars, but you can raise them.

I swapped out my folding handle bars for bmx style handle bars getting the grips off was the longest part and it was not difficult just tedious everything else just required loosening of srcrews and they slid right on to the new bars.
When I was looking for new bars it seemed the only size difference was in the center and if you go for a set that has a smaller diameter you can use shims to make it fit
