Ebikeschool.com epic China visit

Yes, its a great mix between bike reviews, factory tours and the banter between the PR staff sent to meet and entertain.
Its well worth a watch if only to see the culture around the factory districts and the unbelievable amount of electric vehicles in China.

I sound like I made it 😂

Haha yea I was worried people wouldn't enjoy it because it's longer and shows a lot more than just products, which is what I normally do. But I thought there was value in seeing a bit more behind the scenes on this stuff, and I guess people have appreciated that, at least from the feedback I've gotten so far. That or people think that I'm on the CCP payroll lol. I didn't make one cent from this (other than the Youtube ad revenue) and yet everyone seems to think I'm paid for this stuff.

I really enjoyed this as well, and learned a lot. Videos like this do so much to reinforce the basic idea that whatever you think about a country's governmental policies, people are people. With what we're now seeing with electric cars, China is clearly leading when it comes to e-mobility. The anti-China rhetoric reminds me of the early years of the Japanese "auto invasion" in 1970s. The style and content of all your videos is top-notch; you clearly put some thought and planning into them rather than so much internet content I see. Keep up the great work!

Excellent Video & information not to mention an Eyeopener for many Thank you for sharing this with us.
I wish Decisionmakers in Government and Industry would learn from this too, start thinking outside the Box (which seems to be impossible for Party Hacks) and get us competitive again while it is still possible. If they don't our prosperity and Standard of Living will nosedive.

Cheers

China is a very powerful country, and many Chinese companies are doing great. Recently, I purchased a Gaciron bike light, and my experience has been very positive. The Raptor-3000 is a bike front light I really like; it has multiple modes and also functions as a power bank. If you're interested, you can check it out here: https://www.gaciron-shop.com/.
I'm not sure if you know it but any form of promotion here should be done against a fee to Electric Bike Review.
Secondly, could you compare the Gaciron light to Cateye, Lezyne or Supernova?

Really interesting trip to electric vehicle producers and local culture

I watched this when released and thought it was one of the best ebike-themed videos I'd ever watched. I liked the synergy between Micah and his hosts - they played off of each other very well. I also thought it was very humanizing. Instead of "cheap Chinese junk" it was the people proud of the work they do and products they create. This video, and others like it will help knock down stereotypes.

There was a similar documentary years ago featuring a small cushion factory in an old Northern England mill.
The owner moved the production to china and even twenty years ago the chinese workers were getting savvy to the profits that could be made, and they started interviewing the employers.
Wages and conditions went up as they played the western companies off against each other.
The result was he kept all his original staff finishing the handmade cushions, while the china factories supplied the mass produced cushions.

It was hilarious seeing him pitching employee work packages to large rooms of chinese workers who always looked unimpressed.
They knew their worth and they knew he was getting it cheap.

Of course it wont last.
