Ebike turns off as I ride over the bumps issue

Hi. First of all sorry If my english is bad.

So I recently built my own custom ebike with Bafang BBS02B 750 W motor kit with battery. Everything is working very well and I've had a lot of fun riding it, except the battery seems to lose contact and because of that the ebike shuts off and I have to detach and reattach the battery. It happens when I ride over some bumps. Can it be a battery connector? Everything is brand new and my battery has this connector which is praised by all that it's much better for keeping contact in bumpy terrain

I would replace it right now but my only option is to order it on aliexpress so it'd take months to arrive I suppose. Did someone experience this issue? I don't know, this is weird... Like i've seen that people have problems with this type of connector but not when it's brand new and unused :/

You are not in the wrong spot. Try taking a Velcro strap and wrapping the battery securely with it as a place to start. Also with the battery turned OFF see if there is play when it is locked (that is if it has a lock). See if you can shim it with something non-conductive such as a strip of peal and stick rubber, or section of innertube, so it does not bounce and stays tight. All the best!

I shimm'd the lock by placing a small zip tie (any color works :- ) through the bolt receiver hole. This made it much tighter but also made it a little harder to lock which was made better by putting a little silicone grease on the bolt. Go easy the first time locking it because if you force it you could break the key in the cylinder.

@Gionnirocket! Where are you getting silicone grease? I am nuts for the stuff and am almost out. I like the gel better than the plumbing type. It does wonders inside shifters and on cables. Your example is an ideal use for it. It is fully compatible with plastic and rubber unlike petroleum products; great for things such as the O-rings inside motor housings. It also keeps out water.

I'll add that I do have/use silicone grease as well... But Slickoluem I use more often for lubrication and on seals.
On the actual silicone grease I don't have any particular source or brand that I use but I usually get a tube of the gel that is food grade so I can use it for my aquarium as well. On my bike I've used it on the higo connectors as Slickoluem isn't recommended for copper, though I only put it on the rubber/plastic.
