I am also having problems with a Shimano Steps system. E10 fails. Fully checked out by 99 bikes in Joondalup, Shimano advice - take the battery out and put it back!
I sold a Trek Fuel MTB anc an Orbea Onix to go e bike.
Went Shimano as I’m 450km from the bike shop.
My daily commute is 23km each way, the longest distance between E10 failures is 42km.
I’ve now done well over a 1,000km, so that is a lot of E20 failures.
It’s under warranty, so it’s bike to store, waiting until Shimano factory rechecks the failure, then hoping for a replacement.
It’s rubbish from Shimano because there’s a recording of the failures.
Just a personal warning about my experience with Shimano.
