E-bike charging stations

I heard that such stations exist in Europe, but I am not aware of e-bike charging stations in the USA. Wouldnt it be nice if e-bike charging stations are part of the electric charging car networks that are being built? I dont know how practical it would be, but it is certainly something that would be lovely.

Are they just an ac outlet that you plug your personal charger into? Otherwise I don’t see how this can work with all the different proprietary battery connectors.....not to mention some manufacturers battery management systems that require a proprietary “handshake” from the charger.

If this is more than just an ac outlet that you plug your charger into, what is the voltage output? Can the voltage be adjusted depending on the battery? If so, how do they ensure the right voltage is selected? Do you supply the cable? If so, where do you get them?

The electric car industry is pretty standardized on connectors and voltage. This is not the case with ebikes.
