Double walled rims worth it?

Is it best to get an ebike with double walled rims? Since the torque of the motor and additional weight of an ebike itself is going to put more stress on the wheels. Or is double walled a bit of a gimmick? Thanks

No gimmick, @Volusia25 , double wall rims are structurally stronger and other than a few very old motors, I think all new hub driven ebikes come with double wall rims. The stress from the motor requires that extra strength.
