Dog on Tern GSD

Hi All! I am about to get a new Tern GSD and am wondering if anyone has any experience carrying a mid-sized dog on the back. Right now my dog is a puppy (15 lbs) but is growing fast and will be 35 pounds max in the next year. I am concerned that the Storm Box or any other seating for children will not work for the dog since she might slip down into one of the side compartments. I'm also wondering whether putting her in the cargo panniers would work. Any experience would be helpful. Thanks!
