Excellent. Yes. With SRAM I can take the XDR driver to the bank?I think it varies. If the bike has a SRAM drive, then XDR, if it has a Shimano or Sunrace cassette then no.
It is on the way…planning in advance.if you have the wheel and want to be sure, you could always remove the cassette and double check.
Excellent. I’m getting the SRAM S-Works and want to swap to a non Eagle 10-36 cassette. The Roval Terra CLX wheels only come with the S-Works Creo. The 2020 S-Works Creo is equipped with a Shimano 11 speed drivetrain, so no XDR. The 2021 comes with a SRAM AXS Eagle mullet 12 speed drivetrain, which requires/comes with the XDR driver body. It comes with a SRAM Eagle 10-50 cassette installed.
If you’re ordering the wheels separately, then specify the driver body you want. They are made to order and don’t come with any driver body unless you tell Roval which one.
Then you’re XDR. I have one myself. You’ll enjoy it. Quite a machine.Excellent. I’m getting the SRAM S-Works and want to swap to a non Eagle 10-36 cassette.
Did you change the cassette? I suspect I will also have to change the rear derailleur and chainThen you’re XDR. I have one myself. You’ll enjoy it. Quite a machine.
No change for me. I ride gravel in hilly country. I put 44mm tubeless tires on it. I’m in the 50t gear occasionally and happy to have it.Did you change the cassette? I suspect I will also have to change the rear derailleur and chain
Super helpful. Will doNo change for me. I ride gravel in hilly country. I put 44mm tubeless tires on it. I’m in the 50t gear occasionally and happy to have it.
The derailleur may work. You could shorten the 12 speed chain, which is narrower than an 11 speed chain. Depends on your cassette.
I upgraded my Salsa Warroad to SRAM Eagle AXS 12 speed and kept the original SRAM Force 11 speed chainring. It works fine with the Eagle 12 speed chain and drive train. You may be good to go.
You would use the SRAM app to tell the derailleur which cassette is mounted. Call SRAM’s tech support line. They will have all of the answers. They’re happy to field pre-sale tech questions. They’re the ones who told me to keep the Force 11 speed chainring. SRAM: (800) 346-2928
I was wrong about telling the derailleur which cassette is installed via the app. That’s on the website, so it can display your logged gear shifts with the correct labels. It looks like a 12 speed derailleur needs a 12 cog cassette.Super helpful. Will do
That’s fine I was going to stay 12 speed just a more narrow range.I was wrong about telling the derailleur which cassette is installed via the app. That’s on the website, so it can display your logged gear shifts with the correct labels. It looks like a 12 speed derailleur needs a 12 cog cassette.
