The current build of my Vado 6.0 is Roadrunner (as it feels the best on asphalt).

My Vado SL is Fearless. As I was demo riding another Vado SL in June 2021, there was a sudden squall and hail! Vado SL brought me through the weather easily. So I thought that lightweight low power e-bike feared nothing. Additionally, HMS Fearless was a light cruiser spaceship from David Weber's "Honor Harrington" series of books![]()
My idea to name the first build of my big Vado was "Knight Rider" (A David Hasselhoff movie car) but the name was rather clumsy. Eventually, Vado 5.0/6.0 Build 1 got the name of "Highway Star" (a Deep Purple song)Thank you!
In general, i really don't like naming objects. But in this case, it just seemed to fit![]()

First inclination was to give it a woman's name like a boat — maybe Bobbi Jo for how fun it is, or Lana for how beautiful a design it is, or Serena for the mental state it puts me in. Nah, it's not at all like a woman — and vive la difference!
Also considered inspiring names, clever names, funny names, plays on its color, etc. Problem is, the bike's too many good things to me all at once. Any tag beyond "the SL" seems too narrow.
Besides, best that my wife not find out that I've named the SL. She's jealous enough already.
