@Rincon I bought a Garmin (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) since it happened to work with my old school Garmin Colorado 300. It was by accident that my android phone had ant +. It took a while to pair with Strava the first time but now that it's linked I don't ever have to hold a button for 2 mins to sync again. So far it has simplified my logging of exercise which I love... because I used to walk around with bunches of devices and none of them seemed to do what the other one did but it seems the phones are catching up.. or is it apps on the phones. Not saying GPS devices don't have their place. .. but I have digressed...
I use the Strava App and Heart Rate with Samsung S5.. I think Strava has a heart rate strap they recommend but seems to work with many types... Just make sure the phone you have and the chest strap read each other and you should be good to go. I think you can do a search inside Strava for heart rate chest straps. Much luck.
