Difference between Vado 4.0 2020 and 2021

Hello,


When i look on the official Specialized site, i see that the current bikes are 2021 models.

In the local shop here in the Nederlands they sell 2020 models for Vado 4.0.

Can someone tell my what is the difference between model 2020 and 2021?

If I were in your position, I would start by going to the Vado 4.0 compare page on this website, https://electricbikereview.com/compare/items/137124 and print it. This would give me the list of the 2020 specs on which I could write down the 2021 specs as I located them.

Sadly, they are not saying the truth, Jim. I looked up the Dutch Specialized site. See this along the Vado 4.0:

95020 means model year 2020. If any change, there are different colours perhaps. (Or, they forgot to edit the part numbers).

P.S. Looking up the EBR reviews won't help as @Court makes reviews of North American versions of Turbo e-bikes, which may be different in Europe. Seen that for many times.

An afterthought @JimBiker: Look up the specs for the Crimson Red Vado 4.0 (2020) and compare them to any of "2021" 4.0 Vados. The specs are the same. The colours are different. The price has gone up with 100 EUR. Funny, eh?

I just bought a Vado 4 : The sales person said I'd better buy it soon because They had confirmation of Price Increases : At the time the webpage didn't reflect that So I assumed they just wanted a sale . So the salesperson was BSing me.

I went there to buy so I bought it . I went to the website and see They did raise Prices : What's shown on The website as 2021 is the identical Bike I have : My bike had the Inventory ship date sticker still on which was may 2020 . It turns out the sales person was correct Prices increased : From what I can tell only on the Vado 5 . The only changes I see, mentioned by someone else . Are some added colors :

So, we can therefore say that it is not always clear from which year the bicycle comes. But thanks to your information it has become clearer.

@jim6b, When my bike has been delivered, I will check this.
@Stefan Mikes , the predecessor of the current bicycles now for sale seem to be indeed the red ones with a lower price.
@BarryS , I think there is no further difference between the current Vado's 4.0 that have the three colors. Even though they are from 2020 or 2021 I think Second generation vado 4.0 maybe. I called a random dealer and they say that there is no difference between the bikes from the year 2020 and 2021, the bikes with the three colors.

Today i have ordered the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 Carbon! I did not buy the bike in the Netherlands, because the Vado's price in a German store saves €500. In the end I paid €2,800 for it on www.biker-boarder.de. Link to specific bike. Seems like a great deal. I will post a phote of it when the e-bike had arrived!
