Hey gang, I am in the process of buying my first mid drive a BSSHD I am torn between Luna cycles (a little pricey) and Bafang USA Direct I would be saving over $390 buck going through them. I am wondering if anybody has any experience with either. Its a crazy world out there trying to find reputable companies and fair prices. I would gladly support Luna (American company)if anybody has experience. Some say Luna does some things (tunes)them either way any help would be grreat!

Motors are the same price at about $650 unless you go crazy with the add-ons. No matter what you do, half of that money goes to old man Bafang in China,
I bought a BBS02 and several batteries from Luna from 2015-2017. No regrets, If I were to buy another mid drive, I'd have to see how much I'd save vs buying from aliexpress. There was a lot of tariff cooked into Luna's prices that doesn't apply to a single buyer, but then again, you have to feel lucky when you buy direct from CHina.

I did decide to go with Luna. I got the Wolf Pack 52 v 13.4 amps I heard great things about this battery! I would like to get another at some point with more Ah. I hope to get at least 20 miles on throttle and more with my pedaling incorporated with the wolf pack!
