My go to since May is as yellow a t-shirt as I can find (of which I have many since I’m an Iowa Hawkeyes fan!) for visibility and a pair of very light (92%) polyester and (8%) spandex black shorts with a zippered pocket made by Free Country and purchased at Sams Club. I have three pairs of these shorts that I rotate. They are cheap and really great!
As the weather gets colder, I’ll start adding layers depending on the weather. I do need to find a bright yellow vest or top jacket that I can wear over heavy layers so I’ll be very visible! I have lots of layered systems I can add & subtract from. Since this will be my first real effort in many years to ride deep into cold weather, I’m sure I’ll be trying lots of different combinations.
