With the right current adapter can an ebike battery be charged at a car charging station? I'm in the US so our chargers and bikes are designed to work on 110/220 V. Thanks for any replies.

Your bike charger is not going to charge any faster at a car station than it does at home. It's limited by the current from the charger and that's regulated/constant on a decent one,.

Yes, there are adapters you can buy that will allow a 110V appliance to plug into those car charging stations, but it would not seem neighborly to tie up one of those stations for several hours to replenish your ebike. Someone will probably run over your bike in a charger-rage incident.

As noted by @harryS above, it is possible to do, but not advisable. Last year, I witnessed an altercation between a biker and a car owner at a charging station. It wasn't pretty.

Why do you have the need to charge at one of these stations? Are you travelling cross country by bike? If so, there are 120V outlets available in many locations such as diners, gas stations, laundromats, bike shops, etc. I used to go to town parks with bandstands or gazebos. Most have 120V outlets available.

I eventually gave up the hassle of trying to charge on the road. I now carry a spare battery, which gives me a 100+ mile range. That's more than I can comfortably ride in a day. I recharge overnight at a hotel, campground or wherever I'm spending the night.
