Creo 2 Carbon Cranks

Hey all. Just got my 2025 Creo 2 and I’m looking into this upgrade.

Will only the 3-bolt crank arms work? Or will the 8-bolt crank arms work too?
Not sure, but I'm guessing only the 3-bolt version. It has to be the type that says "do not remove" on the LH crank. I think that's the only one that has a bolt securing the crank to the shaft, otherwise they are bonded and cannot be separated.

Look into Praxis. That's where I got my carbon crankarms for the Allroad.
Annoyingly, Praxis only supply cranks for the older 1.1 motor which has a M30 spindle (I bought a pair for my old Creo), not the 1.2 motor on the Creo 2 which is a SRAM DUB spindle.

I can't find anywhere that sells carbon cranks for the Creo 2 (even though SRAM do make them, as they are fitted to the S-WORKS Creo 2). So this would seem to be the only option if you want to upgrade your Creo 2's alloy cranks.

Please post if you know differently!

I saw those but unfortunately not compatible with the Creo 2, at least according to Google:
  • Creo 2 Spindle Type: The Creo 2 uses a SRAM DUB interface (and is compatible with certain BB30-style crank arms that share the same spindle interface). DUB features a 28.9mm/29mm spindle diameter. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • ISIS Spindle Type: ISIS Drive is a spline standard with 10 splines used on other full-power Specialized motors like the 2.1/2.2 (Levo, Kenevo, Vado) or other brands (like Bosch CX), which do not fit the lightweight SL 1.2 motor on the Creo 2.

You can find the Specialized part numbers for the carbon cranks on the support site. They are an oem SRAM part but may only be available to order through a Specialized dealer at an oem spare price depending on region. SRAM started to bond the non-drive crank arm to the spindle with the newer 8 bolt series. There was a period of time where the legacy non-bonded 3 bolt crankset versions were on sale as old inventory but they are mostly long gone except by a lucky find or questionable used. I've seen posts where people have said they separated a non-drive bonded crank arm from the spindle but have not seen a documented process. I suspect it's not pretty and the parts are easily damaged.
