Could someone put together screen shots for smooth settings.

It's very similar to the Frey smooth, I've been planning to do a writeup on what I changed and why, I just haven't had the time. In short, I make it even smoother in some ways. Mainly aimed for general use/trail riding giving better control at low speeds even in higher assist modes--but still having full power for that mode when you put the hammer down and a more usable throttle for technical sections. I'm sure eventually I'll figure out even more fine-tuning little things to change, but it's good enough now I haven't felt the need to really change anything at this point. It's a huge improvement for anybody who doesn't want a bike that acts like an over-powered cadence sensing bike which is how I felt the stock tune acted.

Everybody else is free to download it as well and give it a try.

There engineers said they can't read that file. Could someone put together the screen shots for this so they can see what we want?

Note that there is no "throttle handle" screen included in the "Smooth Tune". I assumed that was the same as in the article/information above the "Smooth Tune" info. I've pasted that page last to try to keep the known "Smooth" settings together.

The said they would need that file in picture. Firmware Ver. CRR10M4830E105010.6_CS . Would that file have the settings we want? Could someone send me the file?
 
Can the M620 be programmed using the settings and instructions above? Can someone point me to the right cable for the M620?

Is there a breakdown somewhere in our communication here? Can't you just send them a link to this forum/string and let them post exactly what it is they need? It would seem to me like anyone making even a half hearted attempt at figuring out what we are asking about should have all the data they need. Everything necessary is clearly available in the screen shots above.

No, that file is not available (to my knowledge), nor should it be necessary if they are seriously after the configuration we're looking for.

Without more specifics, beginning to believe somebody is just yanking your chain. -Al

A Uart based M620 (made prior to 2021) can be programmed with the data shown above using a laptop and the bafang data cable available everywhere - including amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083HRXFL...SBRB&amp&sprefix=bafang+usb+programming+cable

Newer M620's, built in 2021, use a CANBUS based controller, and to date, it's not possible to program them. Hopefully that feature is coming soon. Consider it "a work in progress".
 
It would if the Frey is Uart based. The Frey is an Ultra based bike, right? If so, honestly, there are so many other issues so many don't care for with the standard programing, I'd start with the entire set of "Smooth" settings. They originated right from Frey....

They said it would take a few days but they will adjust the file to those screens. Lets see what happens.

He says wrong stuff in there, too. The sort of advice you give if you only work with one platform and don't realize that bikes you don't sell work differently. Either that or he's not trying to give universal advice and only give advice to his own customers. Perhaps the latter is more likely.

Unless something changed, an .el file is plain text and you can learn their contents simply by reading the file. Maybe post the file to a web page and give a link - someone who has a web server and can make an ftp upload to a publicly visible area. I could do it if need be but since I'm not directly involved I won't be the best to keep things updated.

    Hi Taylor,
    The procedure is described in this post. It should all be the same for your Bafang ultra. So simply look at the tutorial, and change the desired setting in the throttle tab. Good luck!
 
I just received this back from bafang engineers. They were suppose to put the new setting. You need to remove txt off end.
