When she was addressing prejudices against e-bikes, it made me remember another post of yours linking to this:

In the comments of that one, some of the mountain bikers were threatening physical violence if they found e-bikers on "their" trails. Others commenters were pointing out however, that hikers consider mountain bikers, the same way mountain bikers consider e-bikers on trails: Messing up the experience and/or access for "us".

It also reminded me of those crazy laws that are being enforced in Toronto, treating e-bikers as if they're motorcyclists.

it is an "interesting" experience being in a group that has prejudices aimed at it.

Ms. Wasko did a good job. I did think she could have answered the question about, "do ebikes damage trails?" a little more positively than just saying, "no studies have been done". But overall, a nice interview.

Thanks for the link. Somehow she should have mentioned that normal bikes already go 20 mph and the mid-drives (which seemed to be the sole reference for bikes) require the people to pedal. The reason that this should be stressed is that an ebike vs a normal bike ...it is the attitude of the rider. On the trails I commute the guys who ride the racing style bikes (in my day we called them 10 speeds!) are quite obnoxious- they go very fast and scare the pedestrians.
