Check engine light on Bafang mid drive

I saw this in a post from 2017, but there was no resolution. Anyone seen this before? (YouTube link to see the display actions) LCD startup looks normal, then flashes empty battery icon with 'check engine' icon. This is with a fully charged 48v battery.

I believe 12 is a current sensor error. According to manual it means “Possible shunt blown in controller”.
Contact your supplier.

Update! The new controller from Luna was the solution. It was, apparently an authentic blown shunt/error 12.
