Charger replacement for a sensible price?

My garage was broken into. Fortunately my Yamaha Core Cross is safely locked. They steal my charger though???

I searched around and found this one

The price quoted is $259!!!, for the charger, not the battery?!?

It expects a pretty unique 4 pin female connector. I wonder if anyone in the world other than Yamaha make this. Any tips on how to find a replacement at a sensible price?

I did a quick search for you Tung, this charger may not be available on Aliexpress. Maybe one of the resident battery gurus will chime in. $260 is steep for a battery but at least they didn't get your bike.

This is a better offer... ;)

Maybe they stole the charger, knowing that the ebike is soon to follow? Sorry for your loss, nothing stinks like thieves stealing something you worked hard for.

This is not the time to think budget chargers for that high tech Yamaha. Get the OEM charger and seriously think of upgrading the security in that garage. Even a heavy duty Abus Bordo lock is not going to withstand a battery powered grinder.....

That's a rediculous price for a charger. Even if using the best of components available it shouldn't be more than a $100 and it's a blatant use of a proprietary plug to take advantage of the consumer.
That's why I stay away from Apple and Sony though they have been better as of late

You wanna play, ya gotta pay. The Big 4 ebike drive manufacturers all have their built-in proprietary quirks that you just have to buck up and deal with if you value rock solid reliability over that second and third tier stuff. Actually, it's no different then trying to fit a part for a Ford drivetrain into your GM, Chrysler or VW drivetrain.

Speaking of proprietary and Sony, I bought a newer MP3 player to replace my old Sony MP3. With the old one, no issue with it in creating music folders for each individual artist. With the new one, no go, in order to separate your tunes by artist, first you have to download and use their proprietary music service, which replaces what Windows Media Player used to do with no issue when interfacing with the older Sony MP3.

I don't play.
I don't care for Sony & Apple and now I don't care for Yamaha.
I don't need bragging rights and there's plenty of comparable choices in all categories.
