Has anyone tried to exchange the Vado SL 4.0 fork? For example for a (26") model with suspension?
Is it a tapered fork? Which dimensions? Are there 26" forks of this type?
I've last a little overview the last 10 years about dimensions&type of forks and bottom bracktes...

Vado SL 4.0 is using 700C (or 29) wheels and has straight (not tappered) steerer tube which limits your options.
EDIT: original fork is tappered ...

Also, 26 front wheel is acting very differently on off-road terrain. There is a reason for mullets (29 front, 27.5 back) bikes and you would have the oppossite (26F, 29B).

Just checked: 100mm 26 fork has axle-to-crown= 475 mm (27.5 version has 490 mm).

Original Vado SL fork = 390 mm.

Also, you would need to change your original front wheel - no susp. fork I know is using this funny 12x110 standard ...

Optimum would be some light XC fork (SID, Reba, Fox32SC) with max 800m travel in 27.5 version to turn Vado SL in XC machine.

As stated swapping to a 26" fork would be a bad idea. There are a few forks out now designed for gravel riding that have smaller suspension travel, both Fox and Rockshox have models. I don't see any details in the spec's but That headtube sure looks like it's tapered...
