Calories Burned - Fitness Band Owners please contribute

Here is an interesting information that I just found out this morning while answering a post on Fat Bike Forum.

Lately, I have been wearing a fitness band that measures my heart rate. Lately I have also been enjoying riding a fat bike.

Looking at the fitness band's interpretation of calories burned I see virtually same ratio for electric vs non electric bicycle. The difference might be aerobic vs anaerobic exercise but the calories burned is very similar:

Fitness bands like the wrist ones only know that you're moving and for how long, but they can't tell the level of effort you're putting in. For an accurate measurement the band would have to tie into your level of cadence and torque, which they don't do. The BodyBug product, which I tried yrs ago, calculates actual calories burned based on additional factors.
