Burned looking spots on LED screen - Easy fix

I had an intermittent problem with the LED display on my Hyperscorpion where dark splotches would appear on the screen. These were dark enough to block what was underneath - one of them blocked the bars showing remaining battery power. They appeared fairly often and I was fearful that this might have been caused by the display overheating. Sometimes the splotches were there and other times they weren't. It didn't seem to be related to whether the bike had been freshly charged or not, or anything else I could think of. This went on for months before I finally stumbled across the cause.

The cause is.... drum roll please... a poor job of polarizing the screen of the display. The splotches show up whenever I am wearing polarized sunglasses, any polarized sunglasses, which means the problem is with the screen, not the glasses. So, if you are experiencing this problem, stop worrying. Your display isn't overheating. The quick and dirty solution is just to slide your glasses up a bit to see the unobscured screen. I hope this helps anyone having the same problem.

A guy went to the ER because of a red face and hands. It turned out he just purchased a new towel, red! With polarized glasses I can see the safety glass layer in car windows. Makes sense. I love it.
