Down the road, when you get to know your bike, check the controller for 48V components. Then a quick way to to see how 48V feels is to wire in some connectors and add a series 12V SLA for a test ride.

You might like it well enough at 36V.

What does SLA mean ? I admit I'm ignorant of E-BIKE terminology.

SLA is wheel chair technology? Sealed Lead Acid. Heavy, but probably easy to borrow one.

I rarely use them, but I have some 12.6V lithium "boosters". It's three cells in parallel in three series groups (3S3P). I was going to add them to my 36V batteries to get 48V.

Got it. I can see I'm going to have to bone up on basic electronics. It's been years.
