I bought a GRANDTAN TURBO Trike online from Addmotor. I had only ridden it twice and had 11 miles on it. Then I had to undergo cancer treatment and didn’t get to ride it for a while. When I did go back to ride it, it would not go. I contacted Addmotor and they said it was one month out of warranty and would do nothing for me. So I took it to an authorized dealer and repair service center. They checked it out and said that everything that is wrong with it is Addmotor defect. The dealer contacted Addmotor and they would do nothing to resolve the situation. I’m totally disgusted. I paid over $3500 for this trike and it won’t work. Addmotor sent me a defective trike and will not stand behind it. Their customer service sucks. Whatever you do, do not buy from Addmotor online.

Did the dealer do a trouble shooting diagnostics on it? If so, what did they find? With this forums help you could easily bypass the AddMotor controller and go with a KT controller. If it sat and will no longer start I'd presume the battery went into a deep sleep. Waking them up from a deep sleep involves different steps for different batteries. If it powers up and does nothing than a trouble shoot will need to be done. I say this because my co-worker bought a used AddMotor for $50 off FaceBook Market Place. Everything "worked" but it wouldn't move. He discoved a magnet let loose inside the rear hub motor, jamming the outer body/shell of the hub. We rebuilt it at work with around $50 in parts and he got it running like new. He ended up giving it to someone who needed cheap transportation. Guy is still riding it almost a year later. That's why I have a "What did the ebike shop find?" curiosity.

But yes, I've heard mixed customer results about AddMotor, but then again no ebike is prefect. Also, good local dealer support is important as well. It's the reason I avoid Piaggio motor scooters. I would love a Vespa but have no quality support should I need it.
