Bosch Smartphone Hub & iPhone 11 Locking

Can you send a picture of how you have this setup? This is a constant issue I have as well and have not found a solution.

sorry not the greatest photo, but it works. The quad lock isn't attached right now since i took my road bike out last night, but the phone sits right above the light.

I'm on an Allant 8S and have had the same problem with the smart hub. Hit a pot hole and the phone goes airborne, saved only by charge cord. It seems they ought to design a lock mechanism to the spring mount that prevents it from accidentally opening during a ride. I also have the issue with the power button being pressed by the mount which triggers Siri to ask me what I want while I'm riding. I've had to learn to disable Siri before a ride. Frustrating.

here is a photo with the quad lock on the handle bar...I think so far this is the best option I have found being that I have the iPhone 11Max... the phone sits perfectly in my view to use the navigation or see my speed or anything I need to look at... only downfall is now I need a long enough cable if I want to charge the phone.

I have the same set up and works great, phone is stable, no fall offs on rough terrain.

this is an update -

the top of my mount cracked (see photo). I tried emailing the trek store where I bought it, no response. I went to a local trek store to inquire and they said it wouldn’t be under warranty. I bought the bike 5 weeks ago. The guy gave me a piece of Velcro to hold my phone on. Velcro. For a 5 week old bike. When I asked about switching it for the mount with a case he said he’d never heard of it. Who are these people that the shops hire? I have to say, with all honesty, after $4k for this bike and the problems I’ve had with trek, it will be my last purchase with them. I’ll graduate to a better brand.

Yes, it's the phone mount. Thank you for offering, but I want to get them to switch the type of mount since this cannot seem to handle a simple iPhone 11 sans case. Wish me luck!

no problem. If you change your mind give me a holler... I would recommend maybe going a different style mount I have the 11 plus and I flipped the hub upside down and just use quad lock to hold my phone. Much safer in my opinion, phone doesn’t fall out when I hit bumps or small pot holes. Really the only option right now to save your phone from what I’ve been researching... I was thinking of getting the new nyon display once it comes out depending on the cost. Good luck and let is know the outcome !
