biking in nyc

Hi guys, I am new here and was thinking about getting the LEED bicycle kit (the link is down below). I was wondering if I could ride this in NYC. And if there were any laws prohibiting the use of electric bikes in NYC. I saw in another post that in NYC you can ride a pedal assisted bike, but not a bike with a throttle, is that true, and which category would the leed bicyle kit fall in? Thanks

eBikes are technically illegal in NYC from what I understand, but from what i'm seeing in the news, they're cracking down on enthusiast made ebikes that are being used by delivery drivers driving down the wrong side of the street... @Chris Nolte runs Propel and has a great line of bikes in BK. Shoot him a message at his store, he's definitely the person to point you in the right direction.
