Big mistake!

I ordered an ebike stand off Ebay to lift rear wheel off ground. While made extremely well it Unfortunately would only fit a 2” wide wheel. Mine is 4” wide by 26” diameter. I ask for refund and was granted but told me to send back however I wanted. I took to FedEx to return the $125 Stand and They told me the cost to return to Italy would be $980. I did not want to have to tell my wife it was going to cost me $980 to return it and did not want to listen to her. Also hate selling things anyway so I just took it to Goodwill and gave to them. Out of site out of mind. I know others probably think I am silly in doing this but I just need it to go away quietly as she is already irritated on my buying several things to upgrade the E-bike. Because of the width of my E-Bike I had to order a Motor Cycle stand that turned out to be 2/3’s the cost of the other one. That will teach me to check where things are coming from and only order outside USA when absolutely necessary.

Agree, best not to share all your mistakes with your spouse. When she's dithering about to when to send you to the nursing home, it will only work against you.

You can lift just the back wheel if you want... but lifting both doesn't impede running the wheels motor
Which particular one did you buy?

No problem... just use Yak Express

OH DUH, Ok, thank you. That would have allowed me to lift the height to where I did not have to bend over or sit on stool to work, however I just got a new motorcycle stand at 2/3’s the cost of the other.

No, after 45 years of marriage that became very clear on the first month or so
She doesn’t understand my having more than one guitar or bass either. I am blessed that she is a very conservative person fiscally but it also tries to cramp my buying LOL
At least this E-Bike was her idea but she would have me getting a $500-$600 model but I simply told her my reason for buying this one. She was quiet about that at least. Probably gritting her teeth and biting her tongue.

That's what I love about it... The lift height is variable and I do most work near eye level. And with the pulleys it cuts the weight and also allows me to use my body weight pulling down.

Might be true... But my Park Tool stand has been collecting dust since I purchased the hoist.

At $49 for the stand and in unopened box I think I will sell it as it would cost more to ship back and just order the Amazon Lift Hoist. I like it
My wife would like the fact it doesn’t get in the way in an already crowded garage. Thanks for the tip!

A few bits....
The instructions call to lace two ropes.. Front/Rear... But I laced it with one lifting both ends at the same time.
If you do as I did and depending on where you attach it and your bikes weight distribution, it may lift unevenly. But it's really not a problem as you can adjust it pretty easily once you reach the desired height.
So consider this when you install it. I still prefer the one rope method, but as per the instructions works well too.
The straps make attaching it to the bike super easy and with no paint damage.

What if you tied the two ropes together on the pulling end and adjusting the tie point where they pull together? Is there a better way. I am trying to see in my mind how you laced for one rope pulling
