Dear members of this wonderful forum,
Even though my account is new, I have been a lurker for some time now. I have been introduced to the electric bike a while ago but I am very much in love with them. Looking through posts and all the discussion gave me great ideas on how to improve my own bike.
However, the thing that bothered me a lot lately is the protection of e-bikes. In my country (Holland) I found out that 1 in 10 e-bikes get stolen in their first year?! I already found some new (electronic) locks on this forum that could help me out but I wanted to take it a step further. Why not make this a project for the university I attend.
To fully grasp the problem I made a survey with questions about you, your experience with current protection. Just a way to dip my toe in the water.
It would mean a lot to me if you would fill in this survey. The information from their could help me further in my research to improve current locks.
All the information gathered will be handled discreetley and I will not share them with third parties.
