And the 720wh bAt. is available on most of the 2020 line but on the european site.
I wonder if that capay can be increased even further ? Similar with Tesla 3 the pack has the 21700cells and is probably already maxed out ? But not all 21700 cells are equal either...

A game changer and great technology improvement . For some reason some of their ebikes are only available in Europe ? Or maybe they are not. On the Us website i have not aeen them yet.
Or do europeans get 720wh and Americans only 600wh ?

You know what? We are going to Europe on Sunday, and I'm going to make a point of finding a BH dealer in London or France and find out. Ooh! A mission!

I’ll be calling a dealer in Uk too find out. The same 720wh battery for The Atom emtb is 1.2k, is highly unlikely that is same price just for the battery since the starting price for the Atom line with this bat. Is 2grand ? Or is it 3grand ?

If the bat. Is 1.2k then that is un unreasonable price that i refuse to pay.
The more people who can afford this things but in the basis of common sense and economic principles refuse to pay stratospheric prices , the companies will have to lower it and make a deal with us. They will get more customers down the road....

I just got a response from the US headquarters tech. Dept. and the size is bigger so it does not fit the current ones .

I don't consider that to be a large battery, from what I see that's about run of the mill now. I see lots of bikes and I have a couple myself with 21ah batteries, even at 48 volt that's over 1,000wh

The battery is a 36 volt one so it takes less cells. That leaves more room to parallel and why they can get the 720 wh pack to fit in the frame.

Yamaha, Bosch, Giant, magnum, etc...all use 4-500wh battery.

Maybe run of the mill 1kw for the DIY people ,juiced,Stromer and R&M owners..

I rather carry a fast 5amp charger(the Luna) then carry a 2 pack ebike or a heavy 1kw , or a 10-12lb spare bat. At least for rides up to 100miles.

Well, a 400wh battery is not middle of the road, it's small. I just bought an Atom X on the weekend that has a 700wh battery, I would consider that a middle of the road battery. Every high end bike I know of has at least an 800wh battery and most have 1000+wh, there's nothing to debate.

I picked up my BH AtomX today and decided to get an additional battery, I was surprised that a spare 700wh battery with the new 21700? cells only set me back $407CAN which is about $300US. I've heard batteries are coming down but this is great. That was from a dealer and these are built in batteries with a small console that becomes part of the frame and it unlocks using a battery free wristband. Maybe it was a mistake and I should keep quiet
